Lyyra

An American female vocal sextet

Lyyra is the only professional all-female a cappella ensemble operating in the United States, created by The VOCES8 Foundation. The group consists of six outstanding vocalists: Anna Crumley, MaryRuth Miller, Elizabeth Tait, Aryssa Leigh Burrs, Ingrid Johnson, Cecille Elliott. Artistic direction is led by Erik Jacobson.

The ensemble was founded in 2024 to strengthen the presence and prestige of female voices in the highly competitive world of choral music. Lyyra combines the highest level of performance with exceptional sound sensitivity, inviting the audience into a musical world full of harmony, brilliance, and emotional depth.

The group's name refers to the constellation of Lyra, a symbol of music, harmony, and the night sky, which perfectly illustrates the ensemble's character and artistry.

Lyyra performs across the USA and Europe, quickly building a reputation as one of the most exciting new vocal groups on the contemporary choral scene. On July 31, the ensemble will perform in Poland for the very first time during the Break in Classic festival.
